Mike Peters

Mike graduated from the University of Waterloo with a master's in Economic Development.

As an economic development office in the Windsor-Essex region, Mike worked with numerous mayors and councils and successfully assisted countless businesses in expanding through diversification and new contracts.

Mike spent 3 years managing strategic planning and research for Windsor-Essex, having authored and implemented numerous economic development strategies with municipal, provincial and federal funding support.

Mike moved on to become the economic development Manager at Union Gas, where he represented the interests of 815 Ontario municipalities. This eventually led to the creation of the company’s municipal partnership program, which he also managed.

A personal goal of Mike’s was to start and own his own business by his 40th birthday. At 39, Mike established a golf course mapping business in partnership with Kodak and NASA, among others.

After the events of September 11th, Mike felt a personal need to shift his company’s focus toward homeland security mapping, so he partnered with Oakland University’s School of Engineering.

After successfully selling the company to a Dallas investor, Mike and his subsequent companies became leaders in GPS fleet tracking, construction equipment tracking, and, eventually, fixed asset management.

In 2017, after selling his interests in these companies, Mike was recruited by a private business finance firm to represent their interests throughout SWOntario and nationally in his area of expertise: asset management.

Through this engagement, Mike was introduced to Scott Dillingham, owner/operator of LendCity, and after a brief courtship, was invited to head up the commercial mortgage division of LendCity.
Mike has successfully mortgaged 10’s millions of dollars worth of commercial mortgage transactions across every economic sector.

Scott and his team at LendCity Mortgages have been nothing but helpful and fast at getting me a mortgage loan. They are a knowledgeable group that helped me with my first rental property, they far exceed the service you get from a traditional bank. Kristen and Scott answered all of my questions the same day if not the same hour. I will definitely be using LendCity again for any other mortgages in the future.
