Aya Chukr joined LendCity in March 2022 as Operations Manager and quickly became a cornerstone of the organization. With her exceptional attention to detail and unwavering commitment to excellence, Aya didn’t just manage operations—she transformed them. Over the course of her tenure, she demonstrated a remarkable ability to adapt and grow, expanding her skill set across underwriting, process optimization, and U.S. real estate investments. But perhaps her most significant achievement was leading the expansion of LendCity’s operations into Mexico, creating entirely new opportunities for clients and driving the company’s international growth. In recognition of her outstanding contributions and leadership, Aya was promoted to Chief Operating Officer (COO) in March 2024—a well-deserved acknowledgment of someone who doesn’t just maintain systems, but builds better ones.
Aya’s commitment to operational excellence is driven by an analytical mindset that’s rare in the mortgage industry. Her academic background in Forensic Science—including a bachelor’s degree from the University of Windsor with a concentration in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry, and a master’s degree in Forensic Science and Toxicology from the University of Strathclyde—might seem unusual for a COO, but it’s actually her secret weapon. Her scientific training fosters a methodical, evidence-based approach to problem-solving and process design. She integrates this analytical mindset seamlessly into her leadership at LendCity, ensuring that operations aren’t just efficient but also strategically aligned with the company’s long-term goals. In her role as COO, Aya continues to drive initiatives that strengthen the organization’s infrastructure, improve client experiences, and position LendCity for sustained growth across multiple countries.
